Business Concept
The business concept of SMS Nordic is to interactively connect companies' mobile co-workers, using the SMS-technology, to their internal information systems in a cost effective and reliable way. The solutions provided by SMS Nordic increases the efficiency, improves routines and simplifies handling for the mobile person, which in the end increases revenues for the customer.

History
As early as 1994 we saw the potential in using SMS as a way of communication for people working outside the companies' premises and who needed to get in contact with the companies internal network. In 1994 we started to develop our SMS-software and during the same year we made our first client installation. We have, since the beginning, built a market leading competence in how the SMS-technology is working today, and in the future, in the different GSM-networks. We have also gained knowledge about how companies and users are learning to use the new technology - how they communicate when they are outside the company's walls.

Field of expertise
SMS Nordic has a long experience of mobile systems, mobile products and system integration of our own SMS-solutions with companies' networks and databases. We have, by implementing our SMS-solutions, built solid knowledge in how the technology is working at the GSM-operators, and how the technology works in PDA's (Personal Digital Assistant) and mobile phones.

The integration of different types of databases have also given us substantial experience in connecting our solution to existing network applications and to adjust to different accounting and business management solutions.

Co-operation
We have a close co-operation with the major mobile phone providers - Ericsson and Nokia. We also have collaboration with the larger PDA manufacturers - Psion, 3Com, Windows CE and others. The purpose of these co-operations is to always be in the forefront of the development and to be able to offer cost-effective solutions for mobile communication.

Advantages
SMS Nordic have developed a series of applications that revolutionizes the use of SMS for mobile data communication. Our solutions appears to advantage when the user is able to utilise the system interactively. This is obtained, for instance, by letting the user communicate with a database.

SMS Nordic's solutions are best suited for companies with a workforce working outside the office who need to fetch or send information to the company. It could, for instance, be a company with field service, a transporting company or a company with a sales organization.

Obviously the field of usage is not limited to these examples. You could say that the imagination limits the number of ways our technology could be implemented in order to increase efficiency and profitability.

Opposite to a normal mobile phone call, that is demanding good coverage, it is enough that the mobile phone has contact with the network in order for an SMS-message to get through. Furthermore the geographical coverage of the GSM-network is good. Today, there are GSM-networks in more than 130 different countries, a number that is continuously increasing.

Easier management
In many companies the amount of forms that are filled out by the field personnel is extensive. When the working day is over and the co-worker returns, these forms are brought to the office. But the process doesn't stop here. At the office, the information is manually transferred to the company's information systems - a time-consuming process, not to mention the risk for mistakes being made. Imagine how simple it would be if the field personnel could enter the information directly into a PDA and then send the information as an SMS-message to the company's database or accounting and business management system. This would increase the work content, for the employee on the field as well as for the employee in the office that is transferring the information. By implementing such a system it would be quicker to send out invoices since all necssary information is available instantly.
